--White House Photographer Pete Souza (Lawrence) -- 7pm. Lied Center. Pete Souza, chief official White House photographer for President Obama and official White House photographer for President Ronald Reagan, will give a lecture and presentation. Free and open to the public.

--William Allen White Film Screening (Lawrence) -- 5:30pm. University of Kansas campus, 3139 Wescoe Hall. A new documentary film about William Allen White will debut: "William Allen White: What's the Matter with Kansas." Free and open to the public.

--Jayhawk Motorsports 2018 Unveiling (Lawrence) -- 5pm. The Oread Hotel. Students of Jayhawk Motorsports get to show off all of their hard work of the year by unveiling both the 2018 combustion powertrain and electric car which have been meticulously designed and built within the last year. --8th Annual Rockin Red Music Fest (Lawrence) -- 3pm-7pm. Watson Park. Presented by LCNS, a cooperative preschool. Operations are funded by member fees and annual fundraising efforts. Money raised is used for day-to-day expenses, classroom supplies, building maintenance, and scholarships for families in need.
--Cancer Screening (Osage City) -- 9am-12pm. Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market Street. Local Masons will host free cancer screenings open to the public. Physicians from KU Med Center and Midwest Cancer Alliance will provide free skin, prostate and oral cancer screenings. More info at
--Great Plains March for Babies (Topeka) -- 10am registration, 11am start. Lake Shawnee, Shelter Houses 1 & 2. An event supporting the research and resources of March of Dimes. More information at
--Helmet Fair (Lawrence) -- 10am-12pm. Lot 92 & 94, east side of Memorial Stadium. Free bike helmet, custom fitted for any child 15 and younger with an adult, while supplies last.

--Downtown Lawrence Wedding Walk (Lawrence) -- 1pm-4pm. Downtown Lawrence. A variety of wedding professionals will team up with retail stores to show all of their products and services that are just right for your upcoming big day! --Walk of Hope (Lawrence) -- 8:30am-12pm. Holcom Park Recreation Center. All of the proceeds will be utilized to support research and services offered by the Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre, a not-for-profit organization serving families living with Huntington's Disease. Join us this Memorial Day for the 6th annual family-friendly 5K Home Run that supports Family Promise of Lawrence, an organization serving families experiencing homelessness. Certified course.
